PYOBEN Shampoo is an antimicrobial, keratolytic and follicular flushing shampoo specifically formulated for the topical treatment of deep cutaneous infection in dogs and cats. PYOBEN, using SPHERULITES and chitosanide, represents a breakthrough in skin care technology.


SPHERULITES: an exclusive and patented encapsulation system developed by Allerderm, provides slow release of ingredients long after the shampoo is rinsed off.


Chitosanide: a natural biopolymer creates a protective film on the skin and hair. This technology reinforces the hydrating and restoring properties of the formulation, helping to protect the skin against damage from the environment.


USES


PYOBEN Shampoo is an antimicrobial, keratolytic and follicular flushing shampoo for use on dogs,cats and horses of any age.


CONTAINS


Benzoyl peroxide 3% in a shampoo base containing water, sodium C14-C16 olefin sulfonate, Spherulites, glycerin, citric acid, carbomer 940 and chitosanide. Chitosanide and glycerin are present in encapsulated (Spherulites) and free forms. Urea is present in encapsulated form.


DIRECTIONS


Shake well before use. Wet the coat with warm water and apply sufficient shampoo to create a rich lather. Massage PYOBEN into wet coat, lather freely. Rinse and repeat. Allow to remain on hair for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.


Frequency of use: initially two to three times a week for four weeks, then reducing to once a week, or as directed by your veterinarian.

We purchased this for our 14 year old Cocker Spaniel dog that passed away in February. This shampoo works wonderful and did give our dog a lot of relief. We could tell he felt better after using it. We followed directions and left it on for the full 10 minutes.We purchased 6 bottles at one time.We no longer need it and have 4 bottles left. Expiration date is 3/2010

I checked with my vet and she said the shampoo is still good and she would use it on her own dog if he needed it.

 

This is an expensive shampoo and you will get a great deal on it here. I would be happy to combine shipping on more than 1 bottle.

 

 

This shampoo was recommended by my vet for my dog that had skin allergies and scratched all the time. It really helps with any type of skin conditions, open sores from scratching, allergies and hot spots. Check with your vet if you have any questions.
